Charges issued for shooting at Telegraph and Kingston in South County

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s office issued several charges Wednesday against a St. Louis man for assaulting a former romantic partner in South County.

Jermaine Thurman, 49, of the 1100 block of Angelica Street, 63107 was charged with first-degree domestic assault, first degree assault, three counts of armed criminal action, unlawful poession of a weapon and  unlawful use of weapon – shooting at/from a motor vehicle.

According to police, the victim, Thurman’s ex-girlfriend, arrived home at her apartment near Telegraph Road and Kingston Drive around 1:14 a.m. Wednesday, March 6. Thurman was parked outside of her residence, and according to the probable cause statement, began shooting at the victim and her vehicle. Gunfire struck both the victim’s vehicle, as well as a passenger in the vehicle.

The suspect was eventually aprehended ater leading officers from Arnold and St. Louis County on a chase that ended at Starling Airport Road. A cartridge casing was located in the defendant’s vehicle.

The defendant is a convicted felon, and disqualified from possessing a firearm. He is being held on a $200,000 cash-only, no-10% bond.
