The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on June 10 on suspect Martin Tullis III, 18, of the 1000 block of Park Avenue, 63104, for the November homicide of 16-year-old Logan Snyder.
Tullis was charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and first-degree armed robbery. He is being held on a $1 million, cash-only, no 10% bond.
The charges are merely accusations. Tullis is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Per past reporting by The Call, St. Louis County police officers from the South County Precinct responded to a call for service for an unresponsive male in the area of Regina Avenue and Horn Avenue on Nov. 14 at approximately 4:53 p.m.
Found at the scene, lying in an alley, was Snyder, of the 400 block of West Ripa Avenue, 63125. Snyder had suffered apparent life-threatening gunshot injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Further investigation revealed that on the day of the homicide, Tullis and an unnamed co-defendant, both 17 at the time, traveled together to meet Snyder. Upon meeting, Snyder was pushed to the ground and shot by Tullis and the co-defendant. The suspects then went through Snyder’s pockets, appeared to remove some personal property and walked off.
On Nov. 21, Tullis and the co-defendant were taken into custody. Both were held at the St. Louis County Family Court on charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
The St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons detectives are handling this investigation.
