To the editor:

I was deeply disturbed to hear that a letter to the editor was published naming me as the author.

The policy of the Call states that a verbal consent is required to publish any submissions. I was never called nor was the number listed in the letter. Perhaps the Call should record the response to substantiate that verbal consent has been received.

At one time I was living in the Mehlville Fire Protection District, but I have been a full-time Florida resident since January.

While a MFPD resident I had no complaints in how the district was handled.

However, I find it unconscionable that someone has used my name as author of a published piece without my consent. I sincerely hope that the person who has done this will have the decency to apologize.

I would like to believe that the person in-volved is not associated with the MFPD as this is no way to advance their cause.
