Austin Bruner of the 16U Southside Dirtbags recently was honored as the baseball team’s Most Valuable Player. Bruner, a St. John Vianney High School student who will graduate in 2016, was honored at the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association’s annual banquet. Former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Kyle McClellan, right, presented the MVP award to Bruner.
