The Bayless High School boys soccer team sealed its title as the Class 2 district champions on the night of Nov. 7. In their third and final round of the district tournament, the Bayless Bronchos emerged victorious over the Affton Cougars with a 4-1 score.
The Bronchos kicked off the tournament with a crushing 7-0 victory over the Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience, a magnet school near Tower Grove Park. Then came a match-up against Clayton High School; with a 1-0 victory, Bayless won and again, leaving the opposing team scoreless.
The soccer team currently holds a 21-7 season record. Now, Bayless is heading to the state tournament, where they will play against the Perryville Pirates at noon on Nov. 15 for the first round.
