A number of elections – including fire, municipal and school boards, as well as multiple local and county-wide propositions – were decided on Tuesday, April 8.

Incumbent Chris Volz was defeated by Steve Davila for the open Affton Board of Directors seat. Mehlville Fire Protection District Board of Directors incumbent Ed Ryan secured his fourth term.

Every South County proposition — Affton School District Proposition 1, Green Park Proposition A, Marlborough Proposition L and Marlborough Proposition M — passed. St. Louis County Proposition B, on the other hand, did not pass.
Both Lindbergh Board of Education incumbents, Jennifer Miller and Julia Voss, were successful in keeping their seats. In Mehlville’s race of newcomers to public office, Serene Wilkinson and Ann Zimpfer were victorious.

As far as municipal elected officials, Megan Gadallah won the Crestwood Board of Aldermen Ward 4 seat and Marie Davis won the Sunset Hills Board of Aldermen Ward 2 seat.
