Abbott EMS will collect items for the Grannemann Elementary Backpack Program as part of the company’s Stuff The Truck event on Saturday, Dec. 8.
The event will take place at Aldi in Crestwood, 9274 Watson Road, 63126, and Abbott EMS is asking the public to come and donate food items for students. Items can be dropped off for donations between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The Crestwood Fire Department will be assisting Abbott EMS with the collection drive for the backpacks. Abbott provides the city’s ambulance service for the Fire Department.
The drive is accepting donations of any kind but prefers nonperishable items. But “we donate to so many places we can find a home for anything,” an Abbott spokeswoman said about the need.
