To the editor:
In response to the “Change the lens, view the body as a gift’ letter printed on Dec. 12, clarification is needed on the line “when fertilization occurs, that zygote some call a blob or tissue will eventually become a human being under the right conditions.” The zygote is a human being at the moment of conception. It does not eventually become one. This is incredible and should cause one to pause at the wonder of that fact. The writer of the letter regrets the error in the first statement.
