‘A Spirited Holiday Past’ will be held Dec. 2

Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, 7400 Grant Road, is one of the sites participating in Historic Saint Louis’ “Spirited Holiday Past” event on Dec. 2.

Historic St. Louis is linking together 20 historic sites next month for “A Spirited Holiday Past” – a themed tour day.

During the one-day event Saturday, Dec. 2, each venue will be decorated with a festive flair representing 250 years of St. Louis architecture and history.

Participating sites in South County include the Affton Oakland House, 7801 Genesta St.;  the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, 7400 Grant Road; and the Sappington House, 1015 S. Sappington Road.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participating sites will feature some form of festive entertainment. For the full list of sites, visit www.historicsaintlouis.org.

Guests are invited to create their own tour or utilize the themed tours provided on the Historic Saint Louis web page. Themed tours cover a variety of historic topics, geographical areas and story connections.

Each site is individually priced with some having a minimal fee and others being free of charge.
