Ollie’s Dressing
1 loaf white bread
½ loaf wheat bread
¼ tablespoon salt
1 teaspoons pepper
¾ tablespoon poultry seasoning
¾ margarine
2 cups celery, chopped
1 cup onion, chopped
6 cups water
4 chicken bouillon cubes
½ apple, chopped
1/3 cup raisins
4 to 5 eggs
½ cup milk
Toast and tear into pieces, white bread and wheat bread. Sprinkle salt, pepper and poultry seasoning on top.
In a skillet, melt margarine. Add celery and onion, cooking for 5 minutes. Pour over bread mixture.
In a saucepan, add 6 cups of water and bring to boil. Dissolve chicken bouillon cubes in the boiling water. Pour over bread and mix gently.
Sprinkle apple and raisins over bread. Beat eggs and milk, then stir gently into bread mixture.
Grease 13×9-inch pan and pour bread mixture into pan. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 40 minutes.
