Yard of the Month Award presented

Yard of the Month Award presented

The Mehlville Garden Club recently selected the home of Roger Musgrove in the 4400 block of Southview Way Drive, Oakville, as its Yard of the Month. Musgrove’s Army service was on tropical island areas and has influenced him to have a tropical look in his attractive garden. Several bird feeders and bird baths add to the interesting yard. Garden Club members presented a State Beautification Citation to the homeowner, plus a plant and gift card from For the Garden by Haefner’s Greenhouse. The home, on a corner lot, features an endless display of beautiful plants and flowers in the front, back and side yards. Garden Club members presented a State Beautification Citation to the homeowners, plus a gift certificate and hanging basket from For the Garden by Haefner’s Greenhouse. Besides homeowners Anne and Rob Reher, Garden Club members present at the ceremony were Susan Kirby, Dottie Warren, Marilyn Lammering, Laura Kump, President Pam Hammersla, Annemarie Bertich, Betty Fresta and Carole Lyston. Mehlville Garden Club members recently presented the organization’s Yard of the Month Award to John and Pamela Flatley of the 7100 block of Rock Hill Road and their landscape designer Tom Haegele. John and Pamela Flatley’s striking front yard features plenty of pansies, including yellow pansies lining the circle driveway and purple, pink and white pansies outlining the front porch area and boundary corners of the yard.
