To the editor:
I have just finished reading Gary Solo-vic’s letter in the Feb. 26 Call in which he states, “We gambled in the barracks day room. We gambled in our foxholes. We gambled in our huts.”
A good number of us spent our days in the army dodging bombs and bullets. Could it be that Mr. Solovic’s first sergeant was named Bilko?
