Whitecliff Summer Playhouse sets productions

The award-winning Whitecliff Summer Playhouse will present “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” from Thursday, July 8, through Sunday, July 11, on the stage in Whitecliff Park next to the Crestwood Community Center, 9245 Whitecliff Park Lane.

This is the 21st year of quality outdoor musical theater courtesy of the Whitecliff Summer Playhouse, a news release stated.

Other Whitecliff Summer Playhouse productions scheduled include:

• The Neil Simon play, “God’s Favorite,” a humorous play based on the Book of Job, from Thursday, July 22, through Sunday, July 25.

• “A Chorus Line,” which features the fantastic “One,” one of the most memorable performance-ending dance numbers in theater, from Thursday, July 29, through Sunday, Aug. 1.

Tickets for each performance are on sale starting at 6:30 p.m. on the night of the show and cost $5 for adults and $2 for children.

A concession stand selling snow cones, drinks, popcorn and candy will be available at all performances.

Audience members should bring a lawn chair or blanket, according to the news re-lease.

In addition, a free concert featuring local favorite Yukon Jake will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 1, on the outdoor stage in Whitecliff Park.
