We’re past a last chance to save St. Louis County, Golterman writes

Letter to the Editor

To the editor:

The last chance to “save” St. Louis County was when Republicans enjoyed a clear majority in the County Council.

They didn’t “pull the trigger.”

Now we face dramatic shortfalls in tax revenue, the need for more subsidizing of public services, another layer of government to be imposed on a shrinking population, and more public money demanded by the same special interests.

There are those profiteering along the way down. There always are.
