We Are One Choir presents ‘Christmas Homecoming’

The We Are One Community Choir will present “Christmas Homecoming” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold.

Saturday’s program will feature an array of contemporary songs as well as such traditional holiday favorites as “Jingle Bells,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” and “We Need a Little Christmas.”

At the end of the program, all Fox High School graduates who sang under the direction of Martin Johnson will be invited to join the performers in singing “Silent Night.” This practice began in 1968 and the choir hopes to see many alumni joining them on the risers to reinstate this tradition.

The We Are One Community Choir is a not-for-profit organization. All concerts are free. However, donations are collected and distributed to the Fox and Seckman High vocal music programs to aid their yearly expenses.

The choir has more than 50 active singers but always is seeking new members.
