‘We are living human beings at conception,’ Oakville deacon asserts

To the editor:

Letter writer Michael Nolan criticized previous writer, Jan Tucker, for saying abortion is evil because it destroys life and life begins at conception.

He states that some people think that a cell, a group of cells, a heartbeat or a fingerprint is more important than the women themselves.

That is not what Ms. Tucker was saying. Women are important, but the human life in the womb is equally important.

God’s opinion is that life begins at conception. Jeremiah 1:5 states, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you were born I dedicated you.”

Psalm 139, verse 13, states, “You formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

This means we are living human beings at conception. We just need time to grow.

Abortion is murdering a living human being. Michael, you were once a cell, a group of cells, a heartbeat, a fingerprint.

Thankfully your mother didn’t believe as you do or you wouldn’t be here to write this letter.

I will pray for you and all pro-choice people that you may respect all life before you have to stand before God someday and try to explain why your were in favor of ending life that He created.
