Water main replacement set along Concord School Road

Water main replacement set along Concord School Road

Beginning the first week of June, Missouri American Water crews will replace about 4,800 feet of 1930s-vintage, eight-inch diameter water main along Concord School Road between Tesson Ferry Road and Sappington Road.

Crews will work during the daylight hours Monday through Friday, with a goal to complete the project by early fall, according to a news release.

One lane of traffic will be closed to accommodate the project. Lane closures will change from week to week as the work advances.

Traffic is heavy in this area due to the lane closure, the release stated. Missouri American Water officials ask drivers to find alternate routes if they can, and local traffic to drive safely in the construction zone.

The project is part of Missouri American Water’s proactive waterline replacement program. The company has invested more than $100 million in water main upgrades during the last two years, according to the release.
