Leslie and Don Wade celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 5 at the Painted Pony Restaurant in St. George, Utah.
Mr. Wade, of LaGrange, Ill., and the former Leslie Verke, of Hinsdale, Ill., were married Sept. 5, 1964, at St. Isaac Jouges Catholic Church in Hinsdale, Ill.
They moved to St. Louis in May 1969 and have lived here ever since.
Mr. Wade, who served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961, retired from General Electric as an engineer in 2003 after 40 years. He currently owns and operates a small consulting business. Mrs. Wade spent the majority of her time as a homemaker.
The couple are the parents of three and have two grandchildren.
For their anniversary, they spent a week touring Zion and Bryce national parks and Southwestern Utah. The couple also spent several days in Henderson, Nev., visiting family.
