Any voting-age county citizen should be able to be seated on council

Letter to the Editor

To the editor:

This is more of a question, than an opinion.

Could someone tell me if the St. Louis County Charter prevents a teacher, a firefighter, a highway worker or anyone working at the county health clinic from sitting on the County Council if elected?

They can run, but are not allowed to be seated on the council.

I think it is time that the St. Louis County Charter be changed to allow any voting-age resident of St. Louis County to run and be able to be seated on the council.
