Local traffic will be routed around the construction of the new La-Z-Boy Furni-ture Gallery at the intersections of Lindbergh Boulevard, Von Talge Road and East Concord Road for three more weeks.

Set to reopen last Friday, the project was delayed 21-days because of a ruptured water main and other problems, according to a news release issued by the St. Louis County Department of Highways and Traffic.

The 550-foot section of Von Talge Road was closed to allow the developer to lower the road elevation and eliminate site-distance problems, the release stated.

Drivers should use Lemay Ferry Road as an alternative route, according to the release. Von Talge may be accessed by taking Lemay Ferry south to Mattis Road. After crossing Interstate 55 on Mattis, turn right onto Little Rock Road and then left onto Theiss Road, which turns into Von Talge.

The release stressed that the developer is paying the cost of the road improvements and St. Louis County employees are not performing the work.
