Visitation Wednesday for Lindbergh High junior

Visitation for Erin Mace of Fenton will be conducted from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road, Affton.

Miss Mace, a junior at Lindbergh High School, was found Friday night dead in a burned-out SUV near Clydesdale Park in Green Park.

Police said warrants were issued Monday on Alexander Stirlen, 17, of Sunset Hills on charges of murder in the first degree, armed criminal action, rape, arson in the first degree and tampering with evidence. Stirlen was being held without bond.

Police said items found at a crime scene in East Carondelet, Ill,. led them to Stirlin.

Funeral services for Miss Mace will take place at 10 a.m. today — Oct. 6 — at Concord … a church for everyone, 13775 Tesson Ferry Road.

The procession will follow the funeral from the church. It will come down Lindbergh Boulevard in front of the high school to St. Lucas Cemetery on the corner of Lindbergh and Denny Road.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations can be made to Lindbergh High School’s RAD program.

Miss Mace was a member of the German Club and Field Hockey.

“Our sincere sympathy is extended to Erin’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mace, and the Mace family,” read a statement from the Lindbergh School District.

“Lindbergh School District counselors and crisis counselors are assisting student and staff members in coping with this tragedy,” according to the statement.
