At the entrance of the new independent living apartments, the Most Rev. Edward Rice recently presided over the blessing of the Village at Nazareth on the 16-acre campus of Nazareth Living Center.

“The addition of the Village at Nazareth campus is another step of executing our vision of providing a full continuum from independent living through skilled nursing services for our residents,” Lu Westhoff, administrator of Nazareth Living Center, stated in a news release.

Among the blessing ceremony participants were representatives from Nazareth Center’s ministry partners, Sister Suzanne Wesley, Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Province Leadership Team, and Kevin Rymanowski and Chris Boldt, Benedictine Health System. Also speaking was John Schmerold, chair of the Nazareth Living Center’s Board of Trustees.

As part of the grand opening, the Village at Nazareth welcomed current residents and family members and other invited guests to tour the three-story building with 50 apartment homes. Each apartment home has a full appliance package in the kitchen and laundry.
