Members of the Lindbergh High School football team and the Green Machine spirit club, along with family and friends, rallied around junior Jake Franzel Saturday by shaving their heads during a fundraiser for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation at Helen Fitzgerald’s in Sunset Hills. Jake, son of Kennerly Elementary School music teacher Mike Franzel, is battling osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. Roughly 40 Lindbergh students and head football coach Tom Beauchamp had their heads shaved during the event to raise money for childhood cancer research.
