U2 will return to St. Louis next year

U2 will return to St. Louis next year, after their Sept. 16 stadium show was canceled due to protests after the Jason Stockley verdict.

The band will next appear in St. Louis Friday, May 4, at the Scottrade Center. The St. Louis concert will be only the second show on the 15-date Experience + Innocence Tour 2018.

In something new for St. Louis, tickets will only be available to Ticketmaster Verified Fans, a registration system designed to thwart ticket scalpers. The Verified Fan public sale begins Monday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. All fans must register by Saturday, Nov. 18, for an opportunity to buy tickets at u2.tmverifiedfan.com. Citi credit cardholders can access an earlier presale.

The tour will follow U2’s new studio album, Songs of Experience, out Dec. 1. The album is the band’s 14th.

The tour kicks off Wednesday, May 2, in Tulsa, Okla.
