Sperreng Middle School pupils Kelly Roth and Mady Bohn have won full scholarships to participate in the Gifted Resource Council’s “Moving and Shaking: an Introduction to Engineering,” a six-week class at Washington University.
Pupils will work alongside professors in their scientific laboratories and learn basic engineering principles, from water treatment to neural-tissue engineering. The course will be taught by Massachusetts Institute of Technology graduates Ruth Okamoto and Shelly Sakivama-Elbert.
