Tsichlis’ election to school board would ‘greatly benefit’ Lindbergh

To the editor:

My family has lived in the Lindbergh School District for over 30 years. During this time, I met and got to know Dr. Michael Tsichlis very well as an affable and hard-working participant in Crestwood governmental activities. He is a very civic-minded individual who served after me on the Crestwood Sign Commission.

He served as its chairman. Further, he was responsible for the revision of the sign codes and ordinances.

Subsequently, he was elected alderman and served with distinction, as evidenced by the fact that he was elected by his peers to be president of the Board of Aldermen. His leadership, his attention to details and his ability to analyze issues and budgets calmly and reflectively provided a firm basis for his many outstanding contributions to the Crestwood community.

Dr. Tsichlis’ professional career in higher education in various capacities, including teaching, writing and community service, is admirable. His leadership, knowledge and experiences will provide very valuable input to the Lindbergh Board of Education. Finally, his impeccable family life has provided him with the opportunity to be the parent of a Lindbergh student, George, as well as with the motivation to contribute as a volunteer to the school district.

I believe Lindbergh students and faculties will greatly benefit in many significant ways with Dr. Tsichlis on the Lindbergh school board. This will lead to a further improved education for students.

Please join with me in supporting Dr. Michael “Mike” Tsichlis in the April 5 election.
