Troop 824 boasts three new Eagle Scouts

Boy Scout Troop 824, chartered by Washington Middle School, welcomed three new Eagle Scouts during 2007, bringing the troop’s total to more than 60 Eagles.

Earning the rank of Eagle Scout were Tyler Schepers, Davy Oster and Ryan Kin-martin.

During his years as a Scout, Tyler served leadership positions as troop guide, patrol leader and assistant patrol leader.

He journeyed with his troop in the summer of 2006 to the Boy Scout High Adventure Camp at Philmont, N.M., completing a 100-mile trek in 10 days. Tyler earned 25 merit badges as a Boy Scout.

Davy served the troop as assistant senior patrol leader, troop guide, scribe and patrol leader. He also made the trip to Philmont in 2006 and completed the 100-mile trail.

Davy earned 27 merit badges during his years as a Boy Scout. He also was elected to the Order of the Arrow, a Boy Scout honor group.

Ryan served the troop in many leadership positions, including senior patrol leader, troop guide, patrol leader and assistant patrol leader. He also made the trip to Philmont, joining Tyler and Davy on the 100-mile trek. Ryan completed 36 merit badges.

He was elected to the Order of the Arrow and earned the additional rank of Brother-hood in the honor group.
