Trautwein presents Mystery Dinner Theater

More than 300 Trautwein Elementary School families were treated to an evening filled with suspense, laughter and fun last week when they attended the school’s Mystery Dinner Theater. The event highlighted students’ reading skills through readers’ theater presentations by first-, third- and fifth-grade students. Staff members taught literacy strategies through mini-lessons for parents and students. Pizza was the main course for attendees. The evening culminated with a visit from author Jeanie Franz Ransom. Fifth-graders, above, from left, Zach Mueller, Riley Chard, Kristie An and Megan Farmer participate in the readers’ theater.
