For the Call

The Oakville Tigers and Mehlville Panthers varsity football teams will both face their biggest rival tonight — each other.

The annual matchup kicks off at 7 p.m. at the Oakville High School field.

Despite struggling so far this season, the Panthers’ 1-7 record means nothing against Oakville as that rivalry game can go either way no matter what the records of the two teams are.
Mehlville fell last Friday night to Northwest-Cedar Hill 34-7.
The Oakville Tigers, however, marked their third win of the season last week to move to 3-5 by knocking off Seckman 28-7.
Seckman scored first as the clock ran out in the first quarter, but it was all Oakville after that. Preston Schmidt and Gerrelle Golden each scored for Oakville, while Jacobi Woods scored twice.
