The South County Toastmasters will sponsor a Youth Leadership Program beginning Sept. 19.

The eight-week program, open to teens younger than 18, is designed to teach them public speaking, extemporaneous speaking skills, leadership and build their self-confidence.

The program will meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the Cliff Cave Branch Library, 5430 Telegraph Road, with a graduation ceremony at 7 p.m. Nov. 28.

Depending on the number of participants, the cost will range from $5 to $12.

The Youth Leadership Program is limited to a maximum of 15 participants.
