The South County Toastmasters will sponsor a Youth Leadership Public Speak-ing Education Program for students ages 11 to 17 beginning next week.

The program will be conducted from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays beginning Jan. 10 at the Cliff Cave Branch County Library, 5430 Telegraph Road.

Numerous students have participated in this program, which provides them with systematic training in public speaking and leadership-building skills.

“The SCTM youth leadership program has proven to be a great advantage to junior high and high school students in their studies, their after-school sports and social activities, and their community leadership participation,” Jim Salih, a former president of the South County Toastmasters and director of the youth leadership program, stated in a news release.
