Toastmasters offer Speechcraft
February 14, 2007
The South County Toastmasters will offer a public-speaking course called Speechcraft to help individuals improve their ability to communicate.
The program will involve an eight-session workshop that will help participants overcome nervousness and improve their public-speaking skills.
During the workshop, participants will prepare and present short talks and practice impromptu speaking in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.
This program has helped thousands to overcome their fear of public speaking.
The workshop, which is open to the public, will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. beginning Wednesday, March 7 and will run for eight consecutive Wednesdays at the Met-Life Building, 13045 Tesson Ferry Road.
The cost is $30. If the student decides to join the club, the fee can be credited toward membership. Participation is limited so more attention can be given to each individual student, according to a news release.
