Three Scouts soar to Eagle rank

These three members of Boy Scout Troop 580 from Long Elementary School recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Pictured, from left, are: Ryan Rands, Alec Macko and Nick Beulick. For his Eagle project, Ryan led fellow Scouts in building a shelter to protect rescued animals at Rainbow Beach. Alec installed benches for additional seating in Long Elementary’s courtyard area for his Eagle project. Nick’s Eagle project was landscape design and planting in Long Elementary’s courtyard. All three Eagles attended the Northern Tier High Adventure Program in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota and the Sea Base High Adventure Program in the Florida Keys.
