Three public forums will be sponsored by the Mehlville School District’s Voluntary Interdistrict Choice Corp. study group to solicit ideas and input from residents regarding Mehlville’s future participation in the transfer student program.
The forums will be conducted at 7 p.m. on the following dates:
Wednesday, Jan. 21, in the Mehlville Senior High School cafeteria, 3200 Lemay Ferry Road.
Monday, Jan. 26, in the Oakville Senior High School cafeteria, 5557 Milburn Road.
Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Harris-Stowe State College’s seminar room, 3026 Laclede Ave.
VICC study group members will attend each forum to discuss several options the committee has developed.
The study group has been meeting weekly since early October to study the district’s future involvement with the transfer student program based on financial and educational issues.
The committee plans to make a presentation Feb. 10 to the Board of Education. Nearly 1,300 students currently attend Mehlville schools as part of VICC .
