Sue Texier will serve as principal of Forder Elementary School in the Mehlville School District for the coming school year.
She replaces Dexter Schraer, who is retiring at the end of the current school year.
The Mehlville Board of Education voted unanimously in closed session May 11 to name Texier to the post. Her salary will be determined per administrative salary guidelines after board approval of a 2004-2005 salary schedule, according to the motion made by board member Mike Heins and seconded by board Secretary Marea Kluth-Hoppe.
For the past 3½ years, Texier has served as assistant principal at Bierbaum Accelerated School. From 1997 to 2000, she was a teacher at Wohlwend Elementary School.
Texier was a teacher at St. Martin of Tours School from 1983 to 1997.
