Lindbergh High School student Colin Yarbrough practiced his piloting skills by flying over Mount Everest on a flight simulator, pictured above, during his Aviation 1 class Oct. 24. The Aviation 1 class is part of Lindbergh School’s new two-year program that helps students learn the basics of aviation, and gives them the opportunity to get their drone pilot’s license. “It’s fun,” teacher Rob Droege said. “They’re learning math, they’re learning science, but in a real practical sense. They can see how it fits and how it’s working. And that’s a lot more fun, they’re really engaged with that.”
