To the editor:
Voters rejected a bond issue in the April 3 election that would have allowed the Fenton Fire Protection District to maintain their reputation and upgrade aging facilities to first-class status.
The ugly word here is “infrastructure,” which to the uninformed masses means water lines. gas lines, electricity, et cetera.
Engineers understand these and other similar facilities have a finite life span and need to be replaced eventually.
Sadly, this means the Fenton Fire District folks now have to get by with aging equipment, et cetera. Wake up, folks.
