To the editor:
I read the article concerning the five-year capital needs of Sunset Hills.
It reads like someone’s Christmas wish list. When you have a stream of unlimited tax funds, this list is easy to make.
I know people put in their time to make this list, but maybe the original premise is faulty. A better question would be: “What would the projects be if we don’t extend the sales tax?”
I shop in Sunset Hills. I pay the tax.
When this tax was passed, it had an ending date. Do the taxpayers ever get a break? No, we just get a longer list of wants. How about some budget cuts?
Let’s form a committee.
