More than 140 members of the Mehlville School District’s 60plus Club participated in a patriotic celebration last week at Hagemann Elementary in honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

The Dec. 7 “Hagemann Honors Heroes” event included a trip through the decades led by the school’s musically talented fifth-graders, along with a tribute to U.S. military service members throughout history, according to a district news release.

Following the student musical performances, attendees feasted on a lunch served by the school’s fifth-grade Ambassadors Club. The event concluded with tours of the school building led by members of the Ambassadors Club.

The school district’s next 60plus event will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Bierbaum Elementary School.
