St. Lucas Preschool has named Connie Stoltz as its new preschool director.

St. Lucas Preschool is in the educational wing of St. Lucas United Church of Christ, 11735 Denny Road, Sunset Hills.

Stoltz has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri-Columbia and also has completed her master’s degree in management and education, according to a news release.

She is certified in early childhood education, special education — birth to grade 12 — and holds a certificate in child development through the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute.

Stoltz most recently designed and taught the 2-year-old class at St. John’s Lutheran School in Ellisville. She also has taught kindergarten and worked in corporate management.

Preschool Board President Trina Cotner stated that “Connie brings new energy and ideas to enhance the traditions established in our school’s 42-year history.”

Stoltz stated she is excited to be at St. Lucas Preschool and is looking forward to working with “the most dedicated teachers I’ve ever met.”

She is anxious to implement newly established flex classes, a parent day-out program and before-school care.
