SSM Health will offer free flu vaccinations on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon at various locations in St. Louis County in an effort to reduce influenza risk.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, getting the annual season flu vaccination is the best way to reduce the chances of being diagnosed with influenza or infecting others.

All SSM Health flu clinics are for those age 9 and above. The SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital will be the only location that will vaccinate children 6 months and older.

Vaccinations are available by injection only and there will be no preservative-free option. Women who are pregnant are advised to obtain  a vaccination from their primary care physician.
