The Missouri Department of Conservation is hosting the annual “An Evening with Raptors” at the Powder Valley Conservation Center, 11715 Cragwold Road, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The event is free and open to all ages.
Falconers at the event will display tools, hoods and other equipment, as well as live birds — the same birds that they use in their sport.
Participants will be able to ask the falconry team questions and get a close-up view of the raptors in the classrooms.
Although the event is free, advanced registration is required for each person attendning. Sign up at short.mdc.mo.gov/4xC.
