South county legislators announce job fair

Several legislators are partnering with Community Action Agency of St. Louis County — CAASLC — and others to host a South County Job Fair next month.

The job fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at The Salvation Army Community Center, 824 Union Road, 63123. The event is free to the public and for employers interested in reserving space.

There will be several major employers from the area present, and space will be made available for on-site interviews, according to a news release.

Job seekers should come dressed in business attire with plenty of resumes to submit and should be prepared to meet hiring managers, the release stated.

There is still room available for additional employers to secure space at the fair and they are encouraged to contact James Ingram with CAASLC to register. For more information, call (314) 446-4431 or visit

.

Among the fair’s cosponsors are state Reps. Cloria Brown of Lemay; Gary Fuhr of Concord; Marsha Haefner of Oakville; Genise Montecillo and Scott Sifton of Affton; state Sen. Jim Lembke of Lemay; Congressman Russ Carnahan and County Council Chairman Steve Stenger.
