Thursday, Feb. 15

• The Maplewood Richmond Heights School District will offer a free screening of the pro-public education film “Backpack Full of Cash,” narrated by Matt Damon, at the MHR High School/Middle School Auditorium, 7539 Manchester Road. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the film will be shown at 7 p.m. Afterward, a panel discussion will feature members of the Missouri State Board of Education and the State Charter School Commission.

• Citizens Against Pornography will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church, 5901 Kerth Road. For more information, call (314) 892-6451.

• The University of Missouri Extension Council of St. Louis County, the local link between residents and the university’s four-campus system, will meet at 6 p.m. at the county office, 132 E. Monroe St., Kirkwood.

Friday, Feb. 16

• The Renegades youth baseball team will host a Mouse Race fundraiser at 7 p.m. at Andre’s South, 4238 Telegraph Road. Tickets cost $30 and include a buffet dinner and open bar. • The St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Parish, 4900 Ringer Road, will offer a Fish Fry from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The event offers drive-up and carry-out service.

• Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 6603 Christopher Drive, will host a Fish Fry from 4 to 7 p.m. A senior discount is offered from 4 to 5 p.m.

• Assumption Parish will host a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria and parish center, 4725 Mattis Road. Stations of the Cross are held at 2:15 and 7 p.m. Fridays during Lent.

• A jitterswing dance will be offered at the Concord Farmers Club, 10140 Concord School Road. Lessons start at 7 p.m. and dancing begins at 8 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 17

• The Crestwood Police Officers’ Association will host a benefit Trivia Night at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 1420 S. Sappington Road. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and trivia will start at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $25 per person or $200 for tables of eight. To register, call (314) 744-9758.

Sunday, Feb. 18

• Oakville Elks Lodge No. 2726, 2726 Oakville Elks Lane, will host a meat shoot starting with practice at 11:15 a.m. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.

• A meat shoot will take place at noon at Crestwood Elks Lodge No. 2503, 10261 Bauer Road. Practice begins at 11 a.m.

• St. Francis Council 5359 will sponsor a meat shoot from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 7381 Telegraph Road.

• The Meramec Valley Grotto caving club will present “Cave Maps of Missouri, Illinois and Beyond” at 7 p.m. in the Mehlville High School gymnasium, 3200 Lemay Ferry Road. The meeting is open to the public.

• The South County Toastmasters will host an Open House from 7 to 9 p.m. at the MetLife Building, 13045 Tesson Ferry Road.
