Thursday, Aug. 30

• The Crestwood-Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club will meet from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rich & Charlie’s, 9942 Watson Road.

• Overeaters Anonymous will meet at 7:30 p.m. at 9907 Gravois Road, Suite E. Enter at the rear of the building.

• The SAJE Senior Ministry will offer a free chair exercise session for older adults from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Episcopal Church of the Advent, 9373 Garber Road.

• The Retired Men’s Club of Webster Groves Presbyterian Church will meet to play bridge from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the church, 45 W. Lockwood Ave.

• Free drop-in play of American Mah Jongg will be offered from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Pavilion at Lemay, 305 Gregg Road, Jefferson Barracks.

Friday, Aug. 31

• The city of Crestwood presents a free movie, Pirates of the Caribbean, at dusk under the stars in Whitecliff Park, 9245 Whitecliff Lane. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Canceled for rain or windy conditions.

Saturday, Sept. 1

• The St. Louis Space Frontier presents Gateway to Space 2018, focusing on “Destination: Moon.” This one-day conference about living and working on the Moon includes a tour of the Destination Moon exhibit at the St. Louis Science Center, 5050 Oakland Ave. An award will  be given to Brian Stofiel of Stofiel Aerospace, a south county resident advancing entrepreneurism in space. Exploring the Destination Moon exhibit, with the Apollo 11 command module and other artifacts, reminds us of our dream to settle the Moon and leads us to advocate for a Moon Village, a concept to be discussed at Gateway to Space. • It is the last call for the Fox High School 50th Reunion. The Class of ’68 reservations deadline is today for the September 22nd reunion; 6:00pm – 11:00pm at Arnold VFW Hall, 2301 Church Road.   Sunset Hills kicks off its Sunday Sunset Serenades from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Community Center lawn, 3915 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Enjoy the weather listening to live music while snacking on food from local vendors. Bring your lawn chair or blanket.
