The county Department of Health next week will sponsor a meeting to discuss the implementation of recommendations of-fered in a Solid Waste Management Plan prepared by the department’s consultant, RW Beck.

The meeting will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 18, at the Rich-mond Heights Community Center, 8001 Dale Ave.

Before finalizing a plan based on the firm’s recommendations, the department is seeking the public’s input on the recommendation’s potential impacts.

Input from regional partners and organizations involved in waste management will be obtained through a workshop planned Tuesday, Aug. 2. The workshop will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the North Central Community Health Center, 4000 Jennings Station Road.

After the collection of comments, the department expects to have its implementation plan and recommendations prepared in early September.
