The Sappington-Concord Historical Society will sponsor a trip to the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site on Wednesday, June 20.

A bus will leave at 9 a.m. from the parking lot of St. Lucas Church on Denny Road. Upon arrival at Cahokia Mounds, participants will view the video “City of the Sun.”

Participants also will be able to tour the museum exhibit galleries to learn more about the remains of the largest prehistoric Indian city north of Mexico, along with an optional walk outside.

A buffet lunch at Ravenelli’s Restaurant in Collinsville, Ill., is included.
