Jennifer Slinger, daughter of Danny and Sheila Slinger of Oakville, and Andrew Kenny, son of Joseph and Terry Kenny of Oakville, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage. They were engaged above west county in a hot-air balloon.
Slinger is a 2002 graduate of Oakville Senior High School and is attending Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in arts and science.
Her fiancé, Kenny, is a 2001 graduate of Vianney High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2005 at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. He recently graduated with a master’s degree in business from SIU-E. He is employed by Deloitte and Touche of St. Louis.
The couple plan a July 15 wedding at the Jewel Box.
