Mel and Mary Zimmermann celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 18 during a reception at Lombardo’s Restaurant in St. Louis.
Mr. Zimmermann and the former Mary Ann Leitner were married June 18, 1949, at St. John the Baptist in St. Louis by the Rev. Robert F. Anerman.
He is retired from Zimmermann & Associates Inc., a graphic design firm the couple started in 1972. Mrs. Zimmermann retired from Zimmermann & Associations Inc. in 2007 and now teaches elementary reading classes at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque School.
They are the parents of four: Darlyne (Zimmermann) Behnen, Diane (Zimmermann) Barron, Thomas Zimmermann and Donna (Zimmermann) O’Toole.
The couple have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
