Sign-up to start for Driver’s Education class

The Mehlville Community Education Department will begin accepting applications the week of Sept. 2 for its next round of Drivers’ Education classes that begin Oct. 6.

The six week course will meet from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and will meet the requirements set forth by the state of Missouri, including class and behind-the-wheel time, according to a news release from the Mehlville School District.

Some students may be scheduled to drive on Fridays, according to the release.

Students must be 15 years old at the time the class begins. The cost is $150 for Mehlville residents and $185 for non-residents.

The cost includes a learner’s permit that entitles students to drive only with licensed drivers education instructors.

Classes will meet in Room 116 of Mehlville Senior High School, 3200 Lemay Ferry Road.

To register, call the Community Education Office at 467-5255.
